Viewing Notes

The Note icon appears when a note is available. It can appear on Illustrations, on illustration thumbnails, or in the Parts List, and indicates that a User Note, a Distributor Note, or a Manufacturer Note is available. User Notes can be edited or deleted, but Manufacturer Notes cannot. Distributor Notes can be edited only by the Distributor who created them.

Click the Note icon to view the note.

Adding, Editing, and Deleting Notes

Click an option below to see details.

  1. Click a part number in the Parts List to open the Part Details display.
  2. On the Notes tab, click the Add Note button on the right to open the Add Note window.
  3. Select a Note Type:
    • Select All Catalogs to add the note to other occurrences of the part.
    • Select Current Catalog to add the note to the part only within the current catalog.
  4. Type your note.
  5. Click Save.
  1. On an illustration, click the Note icon ( or ).
    • If no notes are linked to the illustration, the Add Illustration Note window opens.
    • If one or more notes are linked to the illustration, the Illustration Notes window opens. Click the Add Note button to open the Add Illustration Note window.
  2. Type your note.
  3. Click Save.
  1. Click a Note icon in the Parts List to open the Part Details dsplay.
  2. Click an Edit Note icon to open the Edit Note window.
  3. Edit the note.
  4. Click Save.
  1. Click the Note icon on the illustration. The Illustration Notes window opens.
  2. Click the Edit Note icon to open the Edit Illustration Note window.
  3. Edit the note.
  4. Click Save.

Use the User Note Management window to edit or delete user notes.

  1. At the top of the screen, click Manage → Notes to open the User Note Management window.
  2. To edit a note, click an Edit Note icon .
    • Type your changes, and click Save.
  3. To delete a note, click a Delete Note icon .
    • Click Yes to confirm deleting the Note.
  4. Click the Close button at the bottom of the User Note Management window.

Tip: User notes are shared between workstations at your dealership. Any note you have entered is available for all other users at your dealership.
