Searching for Parts
Once you have selected a product, you can search for a part by part name, number, description, section, or callout. If you have not yet navigated to a catalog, you can search for parts by full part number only.
- Type your search criteria (two characters minimum):
- Click the Search button or press the ENTER key. The search results appear.
- Click a part description from the list to go directly to the appropriate parts list and illustration.
Tip: You can search for multiple parts quickly with a Part Validation Search.

Search Tips
You can use spaces, punctuation, and Boolean operators to enhance the accuracy of your search.
- Type two search terms, separated by a space (or separated by "AND"), to find parts containing both terms.
- Type two search terms separated by "OR" to find parts containing either term.
Note: You must use the English versions of "AND" and "OR." Translated versions will not work.
After entering a VIN or navigating to a catalog, type any of the following into the Search field to get the part you need. You can search for:
Base numbers | Type one or more base numbers, separated by a space, into the search field. |
Part names | Type a part name, or multiple words separated by a space (fuel pump) to find parts containing both terms. You can even type just the first three letters of the part name! |
Engineering numbers | Once you're in a vehicle, type a full or partial engineering number in the search field. Use dashes or don't - either way works. The more you type into the search field, the better the match will be. |
Part numbers |
Type part numbers into the search field. |
TAG ID numbers | Type axle IDs or calibration numbers, for example, directly into the search field. |
Motorcraft numbers | Simply type the Motorcraft number into the search field. |
International Part Numbers for Blue Diamond Catalogs |
Navigate to a medium-duty Blue Diamond truck, and type the international part number into the Search field to find the corresponding Ford service part number. |
